Respect Authority

Sun showers are one of my favorite natural phenomena, which tends to conflict with my unreasonably strong hatred of rain due to an ongoing love affair with a certain hobby that demands dry asphalt. Also paradoxically, I love a fierce summer thunderstorm, as I’ve always found bowling to be fairly enjoyable and see no reason to begrudge the angels their fun.

Obviously, when sun showers and thunderstorms collide, mother nature treats us with a blissful, albeit short-lived, source of routine wonder - the perfect storm. When the rolling, menacing rumbles in the distance finally turned into calamitous booms directly overhead, the heavy rain and wind and magic mushrooms ingested two hours prior made taking photographs an impossible feat. A few hours later, however, the storms retreated into a perfect golden hour that was probably only partially enhanced by psychoactive agents.

Taking photographs is fun. So is taking mushrooms (uh… I mean, according to a bad, bad friend). But taking the two at once is at least as much fun as drinking and driving.
