Fun New Ways To Get Detained At The Airport
Filed Under: Art
Because there are really never enough quality ways to get arrested these days, artist Evan Roth is working on a “carry-on communication system” that makes use of metal plates with words cut out of them. The plate would be placed in your luggage and then would be read by an airport screener when the bag got X-Rayed. And then you would get pulled out of line and strip searched.

The idea is definitely clever and amusing, but I don’t really see it working considering even nail clippers are considered a dangerous weapon in airports. Today, airports are a non-joking zone; jokers must enjoy their jokes outside at the mercy of the elements like any other social outcast. However, I just couldn’t resist coming up with some other ideas for potential plates that other people could hopefully someday use for free tickets to Cuba:
- Hi, I was hoping you could show me the way to the nearest prison
- Sometimes when no one’s looking… I terrorize myself
- You’d know how to read this message if you knew how to read
- A cold metal probe up my asshole sure would feel great right now
- I have a bag of drugs taped to my balls… just kidding! Haha no, I’m not! …Okay, look, I’m high as hell right now
- What is missing a flight like exactly?
- Yo, isn’t this sign the BOMB?
