Respect Authority

Famously bitchy comedian Sandra Bernhard is, you guessed it, angry about something! 

Apparently during a show last month, Bernhard told the audience that vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers.” 

Rosie’s Place, a Boston women’s shelter where the comedian had been scheduled to perform later this month, on Thursday dropped Bernhard from the ticket because of the comment. Instead of calling them all stupid…you knows…Sandra claimed to be “upset,” and reiterated her devotion to fighting racism and sexism, as well as defending civil rights (specifically the right to wear leather, have an abnormally large mouth and be a comedian when you’re …really just not that funny). 

Rosie’s says they dropped her because, given their mission, they “don’t think violence against women is a laughing matter.”

Violence against men though? Hilarious.
